Know Your Rights Camp

 

The mission at Know Your Rights Camp is to advance the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities through education, self-empowerment, mass-mobilization and the creation of new systems that elevate the next generation of change leaders.

Know your rights camp is a free campaign founded by Colin Kaepernick to raise awareness on higher education, self empowerment, and instruction on how to properly interact with law enforcement in various scenarios.

I chose to donate to this organization because of the knee Colin Kaepernick took against police brutality since 2016. He understood what was going on in the world and risked his career for our voices to be heard. It is now 2020 and we are still battling the same issues but now for the world to see. I am very grateful for his sacrifice and his activism.
